The Presidio of Monterey (POM) is home to a diverse military community that includes service members of all military branches — Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force. The population is comprised of students who attend foreign language and cultural education classes at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC).

POM’s student base is comprised of approximately 3,500 people. Only Armed Forces members or approved sponsored individuals of other government agencies can attend the DLIFLC. In addition to service members, the community consists of family members, retirees, and Department of Defense civilians, totaling roughly 12,000-plus individuals.

Commercial Sponsorship offers the chance to present your company's message in a variety of creative ways. Commercial sponsorship gives your business access to our Army community. A partnership with Presidio of Monterey Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (Family and MWR) will expose your programs, events and services to an attentive audience. All activities and events operated by Family and MWR are eligible for sponsorship support.

Commercial sponsorship is the financial or in-kind support of an Family and MWR program or activity, used primarily to achieve specified business goals. According to IEG's Complete Guide to Sponsorship, "Sponsorship should not be confused with advertising. Advertising is considered a quantitative medium, whereas sponsorship is considered a qualitative medium. It promotes a company in association with the sponsee." Family and MWR sponsorship allows you to reach a specifically-targeted military market.

Single Events
We have a wide variety of events scheduled throughout the year — from celebrating Military Children to boat dives with our installation SCUBA dive club. Our audience is diverse and offers many opportunities to reach the Monterey military community. Other events include the Family Fun Fitness Festival, the Festival of the Arts, the Mud Run, quarterly golf tournaments, bowling challenges and many more.

Event Packages
For a higher level of recognition and exposure, we offer three high-level sponsorship packages that offer more involvement and presence than single event sponsorship.  Our annual Gold, Silver, and Bronze level sponsorship packages guarantee you brand recognition with Family and MWR throughout the entire year. Family and MWR offers a variety of advertising opportunities for your business or organization throughout the Presidio of Monterey and Ft. Ord Military Community. These venues are placed in high-traffic areas that are visible to the entire Monterey military community.

1. JSIB (Joint Service In Breif) Inclusion
   Every week an average of 50 new students attend this welcome meeting. We can include your ad or discount offer in our welcome packet placing your business in fornt of new eyes every week.
    
2. Digital Displays
   We curently have 10 advertising monitors spread out among our MWR facilities. Your ad can be run on all 10 displays or targeted to the families at our child and youth facilities or the soldier and faculty population on the Presidio.
    
3. Website Advertising
   Our website receives an average of 15,000-plus clicks per month. We offer small and large web banner advertising spaces at affordable rates.
    
4. Banners
   We have Banner advertising opportunities throughout the installation around our sports fields, inside our 14 facilities, and at our three entry gates. Banner sizes range from 5’x3’ to 10’x3’.
    
5. Vehicle Decals
   Family and MWR has 24 vehicles in their fleet that are on the constant move around the Presidio of Monterey. Each vehicle can be a potential mobile billboard.
    
6. Wall Graphics
   Wall graphics can be placed inside facilities in high-traffic areas such as the Fitness Center main entrance or in-store at JAVA Café point of sale locations.
    
7. Posters
   Family and MWR has poster frames throughout our facilities that display advertising measuring 24”x36”.
    
8. Vehicle Displays
   This advertising opportunity is targeted towards car and motorcycle dealerships. We have several facilities where an average of 1500 people walk in and out on a daily basis. Your vehicle will be staged in highly visible areas for maximum exposure. Our Fitness Center, Community Center, or our three JAVA Cafes are prime locations for vehicle displays.
    
9. Electronic Marquees
   Family and MWR has three electronic marquee signs, each with two sides. The signs are located at the main entry gates and guarantee maximum exposure to incoming and outgoing personnel. The signs hold a five-minute slide rotation. Each ad is up to nine seconds long and will be displayed a minimum of 288 times per day on each electronic marquee. (This venue is limited to text only.)
