Kayak the Bay

These Kayaking tours of Monterey Bay include guided instruction, equipment, and transportation to and from base. This is the #1 activity everyone living or visiting Montery should experience at least once. You are guaranteed to see Harbor Seals, Sea Lions, and Califronia Otters up close and personal.

Please specify at time of enrollment if you would like a single or double kayak if signing up with a friend, and if you plan to meet at Outdoor Rec, bldg. 228 (1100) or directly at the Breakwater Cove Coast Guard Pier (1115)

Itinerary:

1055 - Meet at ODR bldg. 228 ready to load and transport to coast guard pier

1115 - Unload and launch kayaks at Coast Guard Pier

1115 - 1300 - Guided kayak tour of Monterey Bay

NLT 1330 - Return to ODR bldg. 228

What to wear/ bring:

- board shorts/ swim trunks/ leggings if desired

- sunscreen/ hat/ sunglasses

- strapped sandals/ water shoes (for sale at ODR)

- Water proof/ rain jacket

- Non-Cotton top (synthetic/ wool top layer)

- DO NOT BRING electronic devices unless you have water-proof housing... Items may become damp and/or submersed. Customer accepts full liability for lost or damaged belongings.
