Educate & Advocate Symposium

The Family Advocacy Program in coordination with The Monterey County Deputy District Attorney’s office will have Speakers Nana Knight, Jeannine Pacioni and Christopher Knight present on the following topics:

 * The Impacts of Domestic violence on children.
* Why cases are prosecuted with uncooperative victims, especially when children are involved.
* How domestic abuse has  physical and psychological effects on children.
* The legal charges that capture child abuse, including criminal protective orders.
* The importance of resiliency and victims.
* Human trafficking and children.

Additionally, Christopher Knight and Jeannine Pacioni will focus on the data and prosecution of these crimes and ways that service providers and parents can identify signs of abuse, reporting and advocating for children.
